This course will provide you with the required knowledge of the functionality and effective use of the Furuno FM-8900S VHF Radiotelephone.

Based on the requirements of the STCW Code, Table A-II/1 and Chapter VIII, Standards regarding watchkeeping, Section A-VIII/2, Part 4-1 – Principles to be observed in keeping a navigational watch, paragraph 36.

Relevant for
This course is a requirement for Masters, Chief Mates, and Officers in charge of a navigational watch on board ships. Could also be relevant for anyone interested in how to operate bridge instruments. This could include Ship Managers, Technical Superintendents, Technical Staff, Marine Engineers, shore-based personnel, yachtsmen; etc.
